Abate, CBIP, CDMPPresentation for DownloadDescription: Learn about the convergence and alignment between BI and SOA solutions. We will present how a managed information environment, which provides the foundation for both, is evolving from a “metadata-based single source of truth” to the “information assurance and delivery-engine-including repository.” Attendees will be shown how to build a structured, iteratively-developed, data integration architecture (DIA) using a model-driven methodology which will provide a solid foundation for an SOA environment and support real-time business intelligence. We will examine the value of information to both solutions and how the following areas below provide structure to this Enterprise Information Integration environment:

Speaker Biography: A hands-on, accomplished, Information Technology leader offering more than 27 years technology experience in enterprise-wide Architecture, Applications, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure Operations [ITIL], Outsourcing and IT Strategy / Management, Robert Abate is currently Principal Practice Consultant at EMC2 Consulting. Credited as one of the first to publish on Services Oriented Architecture (1996), he is a respected IT thought leader within the field. Mr. Abate is a featured expert on Data Management Radio and blogs on a variety of IT topics on www.information-management.com. He is a standing member of the faculty for numerous IT conferences and a member of the board of DAMA. He has both chaired and given presentations at global conferences on the topics of: Architecture. SOA, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Metadata, Master Data Management, and Systems / Data Integration. His most recent presentations have included “The Convergence of SOA and Business Intelligence” and “Electronic Health Records for Smarter Healthcare”. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, is a Certified Business Intelligence Professional [CBIP] in four disciplines and a Certified Data Management Professional [CDMP] in four subjects.
